Aspectos socioeconômicos e clínicos de pacientes com úlcera de perna em uma Unidade Básica de Saúde do Distrito Federal, Brasil
Resumo
As úlceras crônicas de membros inferiores são um problema em nível mundial, sendo responsáveis por morbidade e mortalidade em número significativo, por isso o objetivo deste trabalho é caracterizar clinicamente e epidemiologicamente pacientes com úlcera de perna atendidos em uma unidade básica de saúde do Distrito Federal. Para a realização do presente estudo foi aplicado um questionário a 17 pacientes com úlcera de perna atendidos no período de março a abril de 2010. A média de idade foi de 59 anos, 59% homens e 41% mulheres. Com relação à renda familiar, 41,1% dos pacientes recebem apenas um salário mínimo. A associação da insuficiência venosa crônica (IVC) com as varizes (VV) aconteceu em 76,4% dos casos analisados, já a associação de IVC e a hipertensão venosa ocorreu em 47%. Quanto à cronicidade das úlceras o tempo médio de permanência foi superior a 48 semanas sendo que, 64,7% dos pacientes apresentaram úlceras abertas a mais de um ano, 41% trataram de recidivas, e 59% tratava-se de primeiro episódio de úlcera. Os dados indicam que a úlcera de perna é uma doença preocupante e está acometendo pacientes cada vez mais cedo comparativamente com as médias de idade encontradas em outros trabalhos, que são de pacientes idosos.

Abstract
The chronic ulcers of the lower limbs are a worldwide problem, accounting for morbidity and mortality in significant numbers, so the aim of this study is clinically and epidemiologically characterize patients with leg ulcers treated in a basic health unit of the Federal District. To conduct the present study a questionnaire was applied to 17 patients with leg ulcers treated between March-April 2010. The average age was 59 years, 59% men and 41% women. With regard to family income, 41.1% of patients receive only minimum wage. The association of chronic venous insufficiency (CVI) and varicose veins (VV) occurred in 76.4% of cases, since the association of CVI and venous hypertension occurred in 47%. As for the chronicity of the ulcers the average stay was more than 48 weeks of which, 64.7% of patients had open ulcers for more than one year, 41% of treated relapses, and 59% it was the first episode of ulcer . The data indicate that leg ulcer disease is a concern and is affecting younger and younger patients compared with the mean age found in other studies, patients who are elderly.
